Translation

This gross body which has arisen due to past karma from the quintuplicated gross elements is the place for reaping the fruit of such karma for the individual (jīva). Because of this, the experience of gross objects is during the waking state for him.

Annotation

For the meaing of quintuplication, please see note under verses 75–76. All experience of gross objects is possible only in the waking state.
