Translation

Bondage and liberation can be told only on the basis of existence or otherwise of the enveloping power of nescience. No envelopment whatsoever exists in the case of Brahman, as nothing exists apart from Brahman. If any such thing exists, it would negate the non–dual nature of Brahman and the scriptures do not allow duality.

Annotation

The realised person has become Brahman, as told in earlier verses. Hence envelopment by nescience does not arise in his case.
