Translation

Oh preceptor! You have saved me, who have been drifting in the great dream of birth, old age and death caused by māyā. Tormented by the tiger called ego, I have been suffering from numerous afflictions. You, with enormous grace, have woken me up from the great stupor and saved me.

Annotation

Nescience is compared to the great dream in which the ego is the tiger.
