निष्क्रियोऽस्म्यविकारोऽस्मि
निष्कलोऽस्मि निराकृतिः ।
निर्विकल्पोऽस्मि नित्योऽस्मि
निरालम्बोऽस्मि निर्द्वयः ॥ ५१६ ॥

niṣkriyo’smyavikāro’smi
niṣkalo’smi nirākṛtiḥ ;
nirvikalpo’smi nityo’smi
nirālambo’smi nirdvayaḥ . 516 .

Anvaya

यत्yat
That which
प्रत्यस्त–अशेष–माया–विशेषंpratyasta–aśeṣa–māyā–viśeṣaṃ
in which the countless dualities presented by māyā cease
प्रत्यक्–रूपंpratyak–rūpaṃ
the innermost Self
प्रत्यय–अगम्यमानम्pratyaya–agamyamānam
which cannot be known by any thought mode (vṛtti)
सत्य–ज्ञान–अनन्तम्satya–jñāna–anantam
existence, consciousness, infinitude
आनन्द–रूपंānanda–rūpaṃ
of the nature of bliss
ब्रह्म–अद्वैतंbrahma–advaitaṃ
the non–dual Brahman
अहम् अस्मिaham asmi
I am
तत् एवtat eva
That itself

Translation

I am the Supreme Reality devoid of action, devoid of change, devoid of parts, devoid of form and devoid of differentiation. I am the eternal, non–dual Brahman for which there is no other substratum.

Annotation

Activity, change, properties, parts etc., are all related to creation and not to pure consciousness.
