Translation

To you, the Supreme Atman, the bondage with non–self is indeed due to association with ignorance. This causes transmigration. The fire of knowledge arising from the discrimination of these two (the Self and non–self) would destroy the effect of ignorance (transmigration) along with its cause (ignorance).

Annotation

‘Bondage with non–self’ – is the notion of the Self in the gross, the subtle and causal selves. This results in attribution of properties such as birth, death, old age, happiness, misery etc (Jagadguru).
