Shloka

धन्योऽहं कृतकृत्योऽहं विमुक्तोऽहं भवग्रहात् ।नित्यानन्दस्वरूपोऽहं पूर्णोऽहं त्वदनुग्रहात् ॥ ४८९ ॥

dhanyo’haṃ kṛtakṛtyo’haṃ vimukto’haṃ bhavagrahāt ;nityānandasvarūpo’haṃ pūrṇo’haṃ tvadanugrahāt . 489 .

Anvaya

यत्–कटाक्षyat–kaṭākṣa
(I bow to him) by whose kind glance
शशि–सान्द्र–चन्द्रिका–पातśaśi–sāndra–candrikā–pāta
falling on me like the dense moon light
धूत–भव–तापज–श्रमःdhūta–bhava–tāpaja–śramaḥ
the weariness of the heat of birth (and death) is driven away

Translation

I am blessed, accomplished and freed from the evil spirit named birth. I am of the nature of infinite bliss and infinite, by your grace.

Annotation

The word ‘dhanyaḥ’, originating from ‘dhana’ can also mean one who is fulfilled. The word ‘accomplished’ means that the highest goal, liberation, has been achieved. The word ‘graha’ can refer to the evil planet Rahu who captures the Sun or it also refers to a crocodile grabbing a person and dragging him into saṃsāra, as we see in the episode of the elephant, Gajendra, in the Srimad–Bhagavatam.
