Shloka

क्व गतं केन वा नीतं कुत्र लीनमिदं जगत् ।अधुनैव मया दृष्टं नास्ति किं महदद्भुतम् ॥ ४८४ ॥

kva gataṃ kena vā nītaṃ kutra līnamidaṃ jagat ;adhunaiva mayā dṛṣṭaṃ nāsti kiṃ mahadadbhutam . 484 .

Anvaya

अशक्यम् एवaśakyam eva
It is impossible
वाचा वक्तुम्vācā vaktum
to express by words
न वा शक्यतेna vā śakyate
nor is it possible
मनसा मन्तुंmanasā mantuṃ
to estimate with mind
वैभवम्vaibhavam
the glory (of)
स्व–आनन्द–अमृत–पूर–पूरित–पर–ब्रह्म–अम्बुधेःsva–ānanda–amṛta–pūra–pūrita–para–brahma–ambudheḥ
of the ocean of Brahman, filled by the flow of the bliss of the Self
मे मनःme manaḥ
My mind
भजत्bhajat
assuming (becoming)
अम्भो–राशि–विशीर्ण–वार्षिक–शिला–भावंambho–rāśi–viśīrṇa–vārṣika–śilā–bhāvaṃ
the hail stone falling into and melting in the sea
यस्यyasya
of which (ocean of Brahman)
अंश–अंश–लवेaṃśa–aṃśa–lave
fraction of a fraction
विलीनम्vilīnam
merged
अधुनाadhunā
now
आनन्द–आत्मनाānanda–ātmanā
in the form of bliss
निर्वृतम्nirvṛtam
attained happiness

Translation

Where has the universe gone? By whom is it taken away? Where is it resolved? It was seen by me just recently but now not seen. What is this great wonder?

Annotation

The student’s surprise is because all the while he was not different from Brahman but he was not aware of it. Now he is aware and surprised.
