Shloka

कञ्चित्कालं समाधाय परे ब्रह्मणि मानसम् ।व्युत्थाय परमानन्दादिदं वचनमब्रवीत् ॥ ४८१ ॥

kañcitkālaṃ samādhāya pare brahmaṇi mānasam ;vyutthāya paramānandādidaṃ vacanamabravīt . 481 .

Anvaya

गुरु–वचनात्guru–vacanāt
by the teaching of the guru
श्रुति–प्रमाणात्śruti–pramāṇāt
on the strength of the scripture
अवगम्यavagamya
having realised
परम् सतत्वम्param satatvam
the Supreme Reality
आत्म–युक्त्याātma–yuktyā
(and also) by contemplation
प्रशमित–करणःpraśamita–karaṇaḥ
with the senses fully rendered tranquil
समाहित–आत्माsamāhita–ātmā
with mind fully restrained
क्वचित्kvacit
in some (solitary) place
अभूत्abhūt
he became
अचल–आकृतिःacala–ākṛtiḥ
one without vacillation
आत्म–निष्ठितःātma–niṣṭhitaḥ
abiding in Atman

Translation

Having concentrated his mind on the Supreme Brahman for some time and having woken up, he told these words in great joy.

Annotation

The realised person too interacts with the external world. That is referred to here as ‘waking up’.
