Shloka

वेदान्तसिद्धान्तनिरुक्तिरेषा
ब्रह्मैव जीवः सकलं जगच्च ।
अखण्डरूपस्थितिरेव मोक्षो
ब्रह्माद्वितीयं श्रुतयः प्रमाणम् ॥ ४७९ ॥

vedāntasiddhāntaniruktireṣā
brahmaiva jīvaḥ sakalaṃ jagacca ;
akhaṇḍarūpasthitireva mokṣo
brahmādvitīyaṃ śrutayaḥ pramāṇam . 479 .

Anvaya

स्व–अनुभूत्याsva–anubhūtyā

Translation

The epitome of the doctrine of Vedanta is that the jiva is Brahman only and also the whole universe is (nothing but) Brahman. Abiding as the impartite Brahman is liberation. Brahman is one without a second. Scriptures are the testimony in this regard.

Annotation

The conclusion arrived at by all the Vedantic texts is denoted by the word ‘nirukti’. Thus the word is used to denote the sum and substance of Vedanta. Though scriptures are many in number, there is a unity of thought with regard to Brahman. Hence the word ‘testimony’ is used in singular while referring to scriptures which are many (Jagadguru).
