Shloka

कर्मणा निर्मितो देहः प्रारब्धं तस्य कल्प्यताम् ।नानादेरात्मनो युक्तं नैवात्मा कर्मनिर्मितः ॥ ४५९ ॥

karmaṇā nirmito dehaḥ prārabdhaṃ tasya kalpyatām ;nānāderātmano yuktaṃ naivātmā karmanirmitaḥ . 459 .

परे ब्रह्मणि वर्तमानःpare brahmaṇi vartamānaḥ
a person established in the Supreme Brahman
तिष्ठतिtiṣṭhati

सद्–आत्मनाsad–ātmanā

स्मृतिःsmṛtiḥ
memory
स्वप्न–विलोकित–अर्थेsvapna–vilokita–arthe
(exists) in a dream object

प्राशन–मोचनादौprāśana–mocanādau
in actions like eating, excreting etc

Translation

The body is caused by karma and it can be attributed to prārabdhaṃ. prārabdhaṃ is never the cause for the beginning–less Atman. Atman is not caused by karma.

Annotation

The prārabdhaṃ is only for the body but not for Atman (Jagadguru).
