Annotation

The karma causative for the present body will surely give the result even after a person attains realisation. The Chandogya Upanishad (6–14–2) says that ‘the delay is only till the fall of the body and thereafter he attains sat’. This delay is due to the prārabdham (Jagadguru). It is seen that even the realised persons do suffer severe ailments like Ramana Maharshi or Sri Ramakrishna. This is due to the prārabdham.
