Shloka

साधुभिः पूज्यमानेऽस्मिन्पीड्यमानेऽपि दुर्जनैः ।समभावो भवेद्यस्य स जीवन्मुक्त इष्यते ॥ ४४१ ॥

sādhubhiḥ pūjyamāne’sminpīḍyamāne’pi durjanaiḥ ;samabhāvo bhavedyasya sa jīvanmukta iṣyate . 441 .

जीवन्–मुक्तःjīvan–muktaḥ
a person who is liberated while being alive

Translation

While this person (body–mind–complex) is being respected by the good and being harassed by the bad, he who stays with the sameness of mind is fit to be called a person who liberated while being alive.

Annotation

‘Sameness of mind’ means absence of love or hate (Jagadguru).
