Translation
Non–arousal of pre–dispositions of mind in the objects of enjoyment is the highest limit of dispassion. Non–arousal of ego is the highest limit of realisation. Non–revival of mental modes resolved earlier is indeed the highest limit of withdrawal.
Annotation
1) Mind is pre–disposed to get attracted to objects of enjoyment. Such pre–dispositions do not exist in a realised person. 2) The statement ‘I am Brahman’, means that whatever was earlier perceived as ‘I’ is not ‘I’ but Brahman. Such awareness stops re–emergence of ego. 3) Mental modes are resolved in the Self like milk has turned into butter. They do not re–emerge like the butter which does not become milk again (Jagadguru).
