यद्युत्तरोत्तराभावः पूर्वपूर्वं तु निष्फलम् ।निवृत्तिः परमा तृप्तिरानन्दोऽनुपमः स्वतः ॥ ४२१ ॥

yadyuttarottarābhāvaḥ pūrvapūrvaṃ tu niṣphalam ;nivṛttiḥ paramā tṛptirānando’nupamaḥ svataḥ . 421 .

Translation

Cessation of activity, supreme contentment, spontaneous and unparalleled bliss and absence of anxiety regarding worldly worries are the visible result of knowledge.

Annotation

Sorrow is the mental mode which occurs due to attachment etc., to objects. This mental mode is due to rajas. The realised person has gone beyond rajas and hence such sorrow or agitation does not happen in him (Jagadguru).
