Shloka
ब्रह्मानन्दरसानुभूतिकलितैः पूतैः सुशीतैः सितै -
र्युष्मद्वाक्कलशोज्झितैः श्रुतिसुखैर्वाक्यामृतैः सेचय ।
सन्तप्तं भवतापदावदहनज्वालाभिरेनं प्रभो
धन्यास्ते भवदीक्षणक्षणगतेः पात्रीकृताः स्वीकृताः ॥ ४१ ॥
brahmānandarasānubhūtikalitaiḥ pūtaiḥ suśītaiḥ sitai -
ryuṣmadvākkalaśojjhitaiḥ śrutisukhairvākyāmṛtaiḥ secaya ;
santaptaṃ bhavatāpadāvadahanajvālābhirenaṃ prabho
dhanyāste bhavadīkṣaṇakṣaṇagateḥ pātrīkṛtāḥ svīkṛtāḥ . 41 .

Translation
Revered sir, soak (saturate) me with the nectar of words delightful to ears – purifying, cool and clear words filled with the nectar of the bliss of Brahman, coming out from your pious vessel of words (mouth). Saturate me who am being tormented by the heat of the furious flames of existence. Those who are accepted as eligible for your momentary kind glance are (indeed) blessed.
Annotation
‘Purifying’ – because they destroy the impurities of the mind. ‘Cool’ – because the teaching would eliminate the three–fold heat called ādhyātmika (internal stress due to physical or emotional causes), ādhidaivika (unforeseen circumstances), ādhibhautika (environmental reasons). ‘Clear’ because they remove rajas and tamas from the mind. ‘Momentary’ – even a momentary glance of the teacher would lead to realisation. It is so told in order to extol the greatness of the guru (Jagadguru). śruti–sukhaiḥ – can also mean ‘the words from the scriptures’.
