Translation

In the Supreme entity whose nature is one (non–dual) how can there be any talk of division? Who has seen duality in deep sleep which is merely of blissful nature?

Annotation

1) The self–luminous Atman exists in deep sleep also. It illumines nescience at that time. 2) The example of deep sleep is given as it is closest to the bliss of Brahman. Perception of world is absent both in deep sleep and in Brahman awareness (samādhi). The difference is that ignorance remains in deep sleep whereas it is absent in samādhi (Jagadguru). There is no activity of mind and senses in deep sleep. The division of knower, known etc., disappears. The same happens in liberation. But the difference is that the mind becomes active and perceives the world after deep sleep whereas a person waking up from samādhi perceives the world as Brahman.
