Translation
In order to remove the false superimposition, the scriptural line – ‘the infinite is that in which one does not see anything else, does not hear anything else, does not know anything else (apart from Brahman)’ (Ch.Up.7–14–1) – repeatedly proclaims the absence of duality.
Annotation
The dictum ‘the disappearance of a falsely visualised thing is to remain merely as the substratum’ is seen in the example of rope–snake. Similarly for the person stationed in the awareness of Brahman, the empirical world appears as unreal (mithyā) (Jagadguru).
