आकाशवन्निर्मलनिर्विकल्प -
निःसीमनिःस्पन्दननिर्विकारम् ।
अन्तर्बहिःशून्यमनन्यमद्वयं
स्वयं परं ब्रह्म किमस्ति बोध्यम् ॥ ३९४ ॥

ākāśavannirmalanirvikalpa -
niḥsīmaniḥspandananirvikāram ;
antarbahiḥśūnyamananyamadvayaṃ
svayaṃ paraṃ brahma kimasti bodhyam . 394 .

The Supreme Brahman
आकाशवत्ākāśavat
is like space
निर्मल–निर्विकल्पnirmala–nirvikalpa
pure and devoid of differentiation
निस्सीमnissīma
boundless
निस्स्पन्दनnisspandana
actionless
निर्विकारम्nirvikāram
changeless
अन्तः–बहिः–शून्यम्antaḥ–bahiḥ–śūnyam
beyond expressions like inside and outside

what else remains to be known?

Translation

The Supreme Brahman is space–like, pure, devoid of differentiation, boundless, actionless, changeless and beyond expressions like inside and outside. It is not distinct from the inner Self. It is non–dual and self–evident. Once it is known, what else remains to be known?

Annotation

Adjectives up to ‘beyond expressions like inside and outside’ are common to space and Brahman. The later adjectives ‘non–dual’ etc., relate to Brahman. Comparison of Brahman with space is only to illustrate the nature of Brahman to the student. In reality there is no comparison to Brahman (Jagadguru).
