Shloka

विशुद्धमन्तःकरणं स्वरूपे
निवेश्य साक्षिण्यवबोधमात्रे ।
शनैः शनैर्निश्चलतामुपानय -
न्पूर्णत्वमेवानुविलोकयेत्ततः ॥ ३८४ ॥

viśuddhamantaḥkaraṇaṃ svarūpe
niveśya sākṣiṇyavabodhamātre ;
śanaiḥ śanairniścalatāmupānaya -
npūrṇatvamevānuvilokayettataḥ . 384 .

Translation

Having fixed the pure intellect in one’s real nature – which is the witness and of the nature of consciousness alone – by slowly and slowly bringing about stillness (of mind) one has to realise the fullness (of his self).

Annotation

1) ‘Pure intellect’ – devoid of rajas and tamas. 2) ‘Consciousness alone’ – means consciousness not associated with delimiting adjuncts. 3) ‘Fullness’ – when the mirror is removed the image becomes the face itself. Similarly, when all the mental modes are restrained, the reflecting consciousness (cidābhāsa) becomes the Brahman itself (Jagadguru).
