बहिस्तु विषयैः सङ्गस्तथान्तरहमादिभिः ।विरक्त एव शक्नोति त्यक्तुं ब्रह्मणि निष्ठितः ॥ ३७४ ॥

bahistu viṣayaiḥ saṅgastathāntarahamādibhiḥ ;virakta eva śaknoti tyaktuṃ brahmaṇi niṣṭhitaḥ . 374 .

Translation

Rejection of the internal and rejection of the external is possible only for a person of dispassion. Such person alone, having desire for liberation, discards attachment with the internal and external objects. Such person, established in the awareness of Brahman, can give up identification with the internal (notions such as ‘I’, ‘mine’, love, hate etc) and attachment with the external (friends, relatives, objects, pleasures etc).
