Translation

Staying in seclusion results in the withdrawal of senses (from objects). Such control of senses leads to control of mind. By such control of mind the ego sense dissolves and by that the seeker experiences the everlasting bliss of Brahman at all times. Hence control of mind alone has always to be done consciously by the seeker.

Annotation

The importance of conscious effort to control the senses is emphasised here as told in the Gita (2–59). Disappearance of ego means disappearance of the notion of self in the body–mind–complex.
