It is only in association with delimiting adjuncts (upādhi)

is one only

विद्वान्vidvān
an intelligent seeker
वसेत्vaset
has to live (strive)
उपाधेः विलयायupādheḥ vilayāya
for the negation of delimiting adjuncts
सदाsadā
always
अकल्प–समाधि–निष्ठयाakalpa–samādhi–niṣṭhayā
abiding in the awareness of the undifferentiated Self
Translation
Atman (as though) attains duality only in association with the delimiting adjuncts. When such limitations are negated Atman is one alone. Hence an intelligent seeker should always strive for the negation of delimiting adjuncts by abiding in the awareness of the undifferentiated Self.
Annotation
Scriptures assert that Atman is one alone. However, it appears as many because of association with the delimiting adjuncts (Jagadguru).
