Translation
A person who identifies with the objectified body–mind–complex – whose reality has been negated by hundreds of scriptural statements and by logic – attains a host of sorrows one after the other just as the person leading an impure life (a thief) who commits prohibited action.
Annotation
‘dṛśyam’ – is anything that can be objectified, such as physical objects and the body, in contrast to ‘the knower’, which is the Self. Anything which is seen is not the Self.
