Shloka

विषयाभिमुखं दृष्ट्वा विद्वांसमपि विस्मृतिः ।विक्षेपयति धीदोषैर्योषा जारमिव प्रियम् ॥ ३२४ ॥

viṣayābhimukhaṃ dṛṣṭvā vidvāṃsamapi vismṛtiḥ ;vikṣepayati dhīdoṣairyoṣā jāramiva priyam . 324 .

Anvaya

दृष्ट्वाdṛṣṭvā
On seeing
विद्वांसम् अपिvidvāṃsam api
even the realised person
विषय–अभिमुखंviṣaya–abhimukhaṃ
when turning towards the pleasure of objects
विस्मृतिःvismṛtiḥ
forgetfulness (fall from the knowledge of the self)
विक्षेपयतिvikṣepayati
tosses about
धी–दोषैःdhī–doṣaiḥ
with the frailties of the mind
योषा इवyoṣā iva
just as an (immoral) woman
जारम्jāram
a solicitor (of women)
प्रियम्priyam
a dear one

Translation

Forgetfulness (fall from the knowledge of the self as Brahman) tosses even a realised person who turns towards the pleasure of objects and brings him all the frailties of mind (such as the anger, greed, hate), just as an immoral woman leads her solicitor into various troubles.
