Shloka

दृश्यं प्रतीतं प्रविलापयन्स्वयं
सन्मात्रमानन्दघनं विभावयन् ।
समाहितः सन्बहिरन्तरं वा
कालं नयेथाः सति कर्मबन्धे ॥ ३२१ ॥

dṛśyaṃ pratītaṃ pravilāpayansvayaṃ
sanmātramānandaghanaṃ vibhāvayan ;
samāhitaḥ sanbahirantaraṃ vā
kālaṃ nayethāḥ sati karmabandhe . 321 .

Anvaya

प्रविलापयन्pravilāpayan
By resolving (into its cause)
दृश्यंdṛśyaṃ
the objectified universe
प्रतीतंpratītaṃ
which is manifest
विभावयन्vibhāvayan
contemplating on
स्वयंsvayaṃ
yourself
सत्–मात्रम्sat–mātram
as pure existence
आनन्द–घनंānanda–ghanaṃ
as the homogeneous bliss
समाहितः सन्samāhitaḥ san
by staying in such contemplation
बहिः अन्तरं वाbahiḥ antaraṃ vā
internally or externally
कालं नयेथाःkālaṃ nayethāḥ
spend your time
कर्म–बन्धे सतिkarma–bandhe sati
if the bondage of karma persists

Translation

Resolve the manifest, objectified universe (into its cause) by contemplating on yourself as pure existence and as homogenous bliss and by abiding in such contemplation both internally or externally. So spend your time, if the bondage of (prārabdha) karma persists.

Annotation

Even the realised person has to be highly alert and abide in the contemplation of the Self so as to abide any distraction from the manifest universe. A person may have prārabdha karma, the karma which is the cause for the present body and hence a continuous meditation on the Self is needed (Jagadguru). Guided meditation, taught by the present teachers, is suggested in this verse. prārabdha karma can exist for a person as in the case of King Janaka.
