Translation
Contemplation on objects ceases following the cessation of activity (pursuit of objects). That leads to the destruction of even the latent impressions (about) the objects. Such total disappearance of latent impressions is liberation, which is said to be the liberation while being alive.
Annotation
Conscious control of activities lead to the control of mind. This is a principle advocated for the seeker. This principle is seen in the Gita verse 2–59, which says that the sense objects drop off from the mind of a person who abstains from them and thereafter even the longing for them disappears on realising Brahman.
