Translation
Growing with the support of those two (longing and action), the latent tendencies (vāsanā–s) cause transmigration for the self. The strategy to destroy all the three is to see all things as Brahman in all situations, always, at all times and all around. By strengthening the vāsanā–s relating to Brahman, those three would fade away. Annotaion: The strategy to destroy the vāsanā augmented by longing and action is to strengthen the vāsanā relating to Brahman by contemplating on the scriptural lines such as “all this is the self”, “the universe is but Brahman” etc., and by the arguments presented in the Brahma Sutra–s. The seeker has to realise that there is nothing apart from Brahman (Jagadguru).
