and by cessation of the myriad appearances caused by it

realises the Absolute
Translation
By the total eradication of the ego and by cessation of the myriad appearances caused by it and with the discrimination of the nature of innermost Self, the seeker realises the absolute as ‘I am That (Atman)’.
Annotation
The ego sense is the cause for various attributes. Once the ego is eradicated, all other attributes such as caste, name, form etc., caused by the ego, vanish (Jagadguru).
