Shloka

अहमोऽत्यन्तनिवृत्त्या तत्कृतनानाविकल्पसंहृत्या ।प्रत्यक्तत्त्वविवेकादयमहमस्मीति विन्दते तत्त्वम् ॥ ३०५ ॥

ahamo’tyantanivṛttyā tatkṛtanānāvikalpasaṃhṛtyā ;pratyaktattvavivekādayamahamasmīti vindate tattvam . 305 .

Anvaya

अत्यन्त–निवृत्त्याatyanta–nivṛttyā
By the total eradication
अहमःahamaḥ
of the ego
तत्–कृत–नाना–विकल्प–संहृत्याtat–kṛta–nānā–vikalpa–saṃhṛtyā
and by cessation of the myriad appearances caused by it
प्रत्यक्–तत्त्व–विवेकात्pratyak–tattva–vivekāt
with the discrimination of the nature of innermost Self
अयम्ayam
that (atman)
अहम् अस्मिaham asmi
I am
इतिiti
thus
तत्त्वम् विन्दतेtattvam vindate
realises the Absolute

Translation

By the total eradication of the ego and by cessation of the myriad appearances caused by it and with the discrimination of the nature of innermost Self, the seeker realises the absolute as ‘I am That (Atman)’.

Annotation

The ego sense is the cause for various attributes. Once the ego is eradicated, all other attributes such as caste, name, form etc., caused by the ego, vanish (Jagadguru).
