Shloka

बुद्धौ गुहायां सदसद्विलक्षणं
ब्रह्मास्ति सत्यं परमद्वितीयम् ।
तदात्मना योऽत्र वसेद्गुहायां
पुनर्न तस्याङ्गगुहाप्रवेशः ॥ २६७ ॥

buddhau guhāyāṃ sadasadvilakṣaṇaṃ
brahmāsti satyaṃ paramadvitīyam ;
tadātmanā yo’tra vasedguhāyāṃ
punarna tasyāṅgaguhāpraveśaḥ . 267 .

Anvaya

बुद्धौ गुहायांbuddhau guhāyāṃ
In the cave of intellect

Again

Translation

The Supreme Brahman, distinct from the sat and the asat (the manifest and unmanifest, the effect and the cause), which of the nature of pure existence and non–dual, abides in the intellect cave (of all beings). Oh dear! The person who abides in It by realising it will not have a re–entry into the cave (will go beyond transmigration).

Annotation

1) Though Atman is omnipresent, it is said to be located in the intellect cave for purpose of understanding. The locative case in the expression ‘in the intellect cave’ is to indicate proximity (that the consciousness is better revealed there when compared to the other sheaths). By the word ‘cave’ all the five sheaths have to be taken (Jagadguru). Overcoming the latent tendencies (vāsanā–s)
