By virtue of dominance of discrimination and dispassion
शुद्धत्वम् असाद्यśuddhatvam asādya
having attained purity
मनःmanaḥ
the mind
विमुक्त्यै भवतिvimuktyai bhavati
will be conducive for liberation
अतःataḥ
hence
बुद्धिमतःbuddhimataḥ
for an intelligent
मुमुक्षोःmumukṣoḥ
seeker of liberation
ताभ्यांtābhyāṃ
of these two
दृढाभ्यां भवितव्यम्dṛḍhābhyāṃ bhavitavyam
should be strong

Translation
By virtue of predominance of discrimination and dispassion, the mind attains purity and becomes conducive for liberation. Hence for an intelligent seeker of liberation these two (discrimination and dispassion) should be strong as the first step.
Annotation
Purity of mind implies absence of disturbance from desires (Jagadguru).
