Shloka

छायाशरीरे प्रतिबिम्बगात्रे
यत्स्वप्नदेहे हृदि कल्पिताङ्गे ।
यथात्मबुद्धिस्तव नास्ति काचि -
ज्जीवच्छरीरे च तथैव मास्तु ॥ १६५ ॥

chāyāśarīre pratibimbagātre
yatsvapnadehe hṛdi kalpitāṅge ;
yathātmabuddhistava nāsti kāci -
jjīvaccharīre ca tathaiva māstu . 165 .

Anvaya

यत्yat
For the reason that
छाया–शरीरेchāyā–śarīre
in the shadow of (your) body
प्रतिबिम्ब–गात्रेpratibimba–gātre
in the reflected body
स्वप्न–देहेsvapna–dehe
in the body seen in a dream
हृदि कल्पित–अङ्गेhṛdi kalpita–aṅge
in the body visualised in the mind
यथाyathā
just as
काचित्kācit
any
आत्म–बुद्धिःātma–buddhiḥ
the notion of the Self
तव नास्तिtava nāsti
you do not have
जीवत् शरीरे चjīvat śarīre ca
even in the living body
तथैवtathaiva
likewise
मा अस्तुmā astu
let it not be there

Translation

Just as you do not have the notion of self in your shadow or in your image (seen in a mirror etc) or in the body seen in a dream or in the body visualised in the mind, in the same way, do not entertain the notion of self even in the living body.

Annotation

“Even in the living body” implies that just as the shadow, reflection etc are objectified by the seer (knower), similarly the living body can be objectified and there is no distinction from an image (Jagadguru).
