Translation

Abidance in one’s own dharma is possible only for the person who relies exclusively on the authority of the scripture. Purity of mind is achieved by that alone. The destruction of saṃsāra along with its root and knowledge of Supreme Atman is possible only for the person of pure mind.

Annotation

‘Knowledge of Supreme Atman’ – is realisation of non–duality with the Supreme. ‘Along with the root’ – means the eradication of nescience, which is the root (Jagadguru).
