Translation

Though the Atman is of the nature of the infinite, eternal, non–dual consciousness with its infinite glory, it is enveloped by this dark concealing power (of māyā) just as Rahu envelopes the solar orb.

Annotation

1) Ignorance has two powers – the power of concealing the real and projecting the unreal. Thus it becomes the cause for bondage. 2) Just as the Sun, covered by Rahu, does not shine, similarly the Atman does not know its real nature covered by the concealing power of māyā (Jagadguru).
