Shloka

सर्वप्रकारप्रमितिप्रशान्ति -
र्बीजात्मनावस्थितिरेव बुद्धेः ।
सुषुप्तिरत्रास्य किल प्रतीतिः
किञ्चिन्न वेद्मीति जगत्प्रसिद्धेः ॥ १२३ ॥

sarvaprakārapramitipraśānti -
rbījātmanāvasthitireva buddheḥ ;
suṣuptiratrāsya kila pratītiḥ
kiñcinna vedmīti jagatprasiddheḥ . 123 .

Anvaya

सर्व–प्रकार–प्रमिति–प्रशान्तिःsarva–prakāra–pramiti–praśāntiḥ
Cessation of all types of knowledge
बुद्धेःbuddheḥ
of intellect
बीजात्मना अवस्थितिः एवbījātmanā avasthitiḥ eva
remaining as a mere seed

as is well known to all

Translation

Cessation of all types of knowledge and intellect remaining in a mere seed form is known as deep sleep. For a person (waking up from sleep), is the experience – “I know nothing” – not universal?

Annotation

1) All types of knowledge – refer to knowledge by way of perception, by inference, by comparison etc., 2) Remaining in seed form – the intellect is resolved in the form of the causal ignorance. 3) For this person – means the person who wakes up after deep sleep (Jagadguru).
