Shloka

कामः क्रोधो लोभदम्भाव्यसूया -
हङ्कारेर्ष्यामत्सराद्यास्तु घोराः ।
धर्मा एते राजसाः पुम्प्रवृत्ति -
र्यस्मादेतत्तद्रजो बन्धहेतुः ॥ ११४ ॥

kāmaḥ krodho lobhadambhāvyasūyā -
haṅkārerṣyāmatsarādyāstu ghorāḥ ;
dharmā ete rājasāḥ pumpravṛtti -
ryasmādetattadrajo bandhahetuḥ . 114 .

is the cause for bondage

Translation

The properties of rajas are desire, anger, greed, hubris, false imputation, ego, jealousy, disinclination to help and so on. These terrible properties are the cause for all this human action. This rajas is the cause for bondage.

Annotation

The above properties are called terrible as they prevent the seeker from advancement in this world and in the other world (Jagadguru).
