उच्छ्वास–निःश्वास–विजृम्भण–क्षुत्–प्रस्पन्दनादिucchvāsa–niḥśvāsa–vijṛmbhaṇa–kṣut–praspandanādi

उत्क्रमणादिकाः क्रियाःutkramaṇādikāḥ kriyāḥ

activities such as leaving the body

प्राणादि–कर्माणिprāṇādi–karmāṇi

are the activities of the prāṇa

वदन्ति तज्ज्ञाःvadanti tajjñāḥ

the wise people say

अशना–पिपासेaśanā–pipāse

Hunger and thirst

प्राणस्य धर्मौprāṇasya dharmau

are the properties of the prāṇa
