I am not the Vital Breath known as Prana, nor am I the five fold variants of Prana (functioning in the body as Prana, Apana, Vyana, Udana and Samana and engaged in the processes respectively of expiration, inspiration, pervading, ascending and distributing). I am not any of the seven constituent elements of the body (the skin, flesh, blood, tubes, fat and bone),nor am I any of the five encasements. (Annamaya - the gross physical body born of and maintained by food, Pranamaya - the vital sheath consisting of Prana and the five faculties of action, Manomaya - the mental sheath comprising the mind and the five faculties of perception, Vijnanamaya - the intellectual sheath including the intellect and the same five faculties of perception, and Anandamaya - the blissful sheath consisting of the root ignorance, the cause of all phenomena). I am not the Vak - the faculty of the speech, nor the hand (the faculty of grasping), nor the feet (the faculty of locomotion), nor Upastha (the faculty of generation), nor Payu (the faculty of excretion), (which together make up the five faculties of action). I am really the auspicious, whose nature is consciousness and bliss. I am the auspicious.
