विनाशःvināśaḥ

The destruction

देह–इन्द्रिय–प्राण–धियांdeha–indriya–prāṇa–dhiyāṃ

of the body, sense organs, vital airs and mind

नाशवत्nāśavat

is like the destruction

पत्रस्यpatrasya

of the leaf

पुष्पस्यpuṣpasya

of the flower

फलस्यphalasya

of the fruit

न–एवna–eva

and never

आत्मनःātmanaḥ

of the Atman

स्वस्यsvasya

itself

सद्–आत्मकस्यsad–ātmakasya

of the nature of pure existence

आनन्द–आकृतेःānanda–ākṛteḥ

of the nature of bliss

एषःeṣaḥ

this (Atman)

वृक्ष–वत् आस्तेvṛkṣa–vat āste

remains unaffected like the tree
