It is self evident as it is the cause and source for all means of knowledge (pramāṇa–s)

Translation
Those eminent sages – who have relinquished the sense of attachment, who have given up pleasures of sense objects, who have controlled their senses and whose mind is established in Brahman – have attained the Supreme bliss of uniting in Brahman by having realised this Supreme truth.
Annotation
1) ‘Those who have relinquished pleasures of sense objects’ – means that they are content with whatever befalls them coincidentally. Or, it may refer to those who have conquered the dualities. 2) ‘Eminent ones’ – refers to those who are not delimited by the body–mind–complex because of sensory desires. 3) ‘Uniting with Brahman’ refers to the nirvikalpa stage of meditation. Such persons have attained videha–mukti after the fall of the body (Jagadguru).
