Shloka

अन्तः स्वयं चापि बहिः स्वयं च
स्वयं पुरस्तात्स्वयमेव पश्चात् ।
स्वयं ह्यवाच्यां स्वयमप्युदीच्यां
तथोपरिष्टात्स्वयमप्यधस्तात् ॥ ३९० ॥

antaḥ svayaṃ cāpi bahiḥ svayaṃ ca
svayaṃ purastātsvayameva paścāt ;
svayaṃ hyavācyāṃ svayamapyudīcyāṃ
tathopariṣṭātsvayamapyadhastāt . 390 .

Translation

What exists inside is the self. What exists outside, in front, behind, in the south, in the north, above and below is the self alone.

Annotation

The Mundaka and Chandogya Upanishads express the experience of a realised person in the above terms. The seeker has to meditate on these lines in order to consolidate the mental mode of undifferentiated oneness (Jagadguru).
