Translation

In order to attain the vision of oneness with all, the scriptural line saying ‘a tranquil, restrained person’ (can realise Atman), prescribes contemplation for the seeker who has learnt the meaning of scriptures from a proper guru.

Annotation

‘samādhi’, at the level of practice, refers to focusing of mind with self–restraint and the internalisation of the teaching, which was noted above as nididhyāsanam. See Glossary further.
