Shloka

यद्विभाति सदनेकधा भ्रमा -
न्नामरूपगुणविक्रियात्मना ।
हेमवत्स्वयमविक्रियं सदा
ब्रह्म तत्त्वमसि भावयात्मनि ॥ २६३ ॥

yadvibhāti sadanekadhā bhramā -
nnāmarūpaguṇavikriyātmanā ;
hemavatsvayamavikriyaṃ sadā
brahma tattvamasi bhāvayātmani . 263 .

Anvaya

यद् ब्रह्मyad brahma
The Brahman which
सद्sad
(which is of the nature of) Reality
स्वयम्svayam
itself
विभातिvibhāti
shines (manifests)
अनेकधाanekadhā
in several ways
भ्रमात्bhramāt
because of delusion
नाम–रूप–गुण–विक्रियात्मनाnāma–rūpa–guṇa–vikriyātmanā
as name, form, characteristics (attributes) and change
हेमवत्hemavat
like gold (which appears in several forms as ornaments)
अविक्रियं सदाavikriyaṃ sadā
(though) always unchanging
तत् त्वम् असिtat tvam asi
That you are
भावय आत्मनिbhāvaya ātmani
Meditate thus in your mind

Translation

The Brahman, which is of the nature of Reality and always unchanging, manifests as many – with name, form, attributes and change – due to delusion, like gold (appearing in several forms). You are that Brahman. Meditate thus in your mind.

Annotation

Brahman is the only reality which is the substratum for all appearances.
