Shloka

सर्वे येनानुभूयन्ते यः स्वयं नानुभूयते ।तमात्मानं वेदितारं विद्धि बुद्ध्या सुसूक्ष्मया ॥ २१६ ॥

sarve yenānubhūyante yaḥ svayaṃ nānubhūyate ;tamātmānaṃ veditāraṃ viddhi buddhyā susūkṣmayā . 216 .

Anvaya

विद्वन्vidvan
Oh learned one!
निपुणः असि विचारणेnipuṇaḥ asi vicāraṇe
you are an expert in enquiry
तेte
those (experienced earlier)
अहम्–आदि–विकाराःaham–ādi–vikārāḥ
all the modifications such as the ego
अथatha
now (after realisation)
तद्–अभावः अयम् अपिtad–abhāvaḥ ayam api
and this non–existence of all those (is known)
सर्वेsarve
all these
येन अनुभूयन्तेyena anubhūyante
the one by whom they are experienced
यः स्वयं न अनुभूयतेyaḥ svayaṃ na anubhūyate
that which is not experienced by any other thing
विद्धि तम्viddhi tam
know that one
आत्मानंātmānaṃ
as the Atman
वेदितारंveditāraṃ
the knower
बुद्ध्या सुसूक्ष्मयाbuddhyā susūkṣmayā
by a pure and subtle intellect

Anvaya

सत्यम् उक्तं त्वयाsatyam uktaṃ tvayā
you said right

Translation

Oh learned one! You said right. You are good at enquiry. The one (consciousness) by which all the modifications such as the ego were (once) experienced, is now experiencing their non–existence. That which is the knower of all but not known by any other, is the Self and the knower. Know this with a subtle and pure intellect.

Annotation

The modifications such as ego were earlier experienced with a sense of identification but now they are seen differently. Their total non–existence is seen now by witness consciousness which is that the real Self. That has to be known with a subtle and focused mind devoid of any other worldly thoughts (Jagadguru).
