Translation

Identification of one’s Atman with the intellect is merely due to ignorance. The cessation of that identification with intellect happens by right knowledge and not otherwise. The contention of the scripture is that the knowledge of oneness of Atman with Brahman is right knowledge.

Annotation

Atman is of the nature of infinity and hence cannot have contact (identification) with any limited entity like intellect. The alleged contact is due to ignorance, which can disappear only by right knowledge. Several statements from scriptures assert the oneness of Atman with Brahman (Jagadguru).
