Shloka

एताभ्यामेव शक्तिभ्यां बन्धः पुंसः समागतः ।याभ्यां विमोहितो देहं मत्वात्मानं भ्रमत्ययम् ॥ १४६ ॥

etābhyāmeva śaktibhyāṃ bandhaḥ puṃsaḥ samāgataḥ ;yābhyāṃ vimohito dehaṃ matvātmānaṃ bhramatyayam . 146 .

Anvaya

एताभ्याम् एव शक्तिभ्यांetābhyām eva śaktibhyāṃ
By these two powers only
बन्धःbandhaḥ
bondage
समागतःsamāgataḥ
has come
पुंसःpuṃsaḥ
for the person
याभ्यांyābhyāṃ
by which
विमोहितःvimohitaḥ
deluded
मत्वाmatvā
having mistakenly considered
देहंdehaṃ
the body
आत्मानंātmānaṃ
as the Atman
अयम् भ्रमतिayam bhramati
the person wanders (rotates in the cycle of transmigration)

Translation

Bondage has come to man by these two powers only. Deluded by these (powers) the person wanders (rotates in the cycle of transmigration), having mistaken the body for the Atman.
