Shloka

अभावना वा विपरीतभावना
सम्भावना विप्रतिपत्तिरस्याः ।
संसर्गयुक्तं न विमुञ्चति ध्रुवं
विक्षेपशक्तिः क्षपयत्यजस्रम् ॥ ११७ ॥

abhāvanā vā viparītabhāvanā
sambhāvanā vipratipattirasyāḥ ;
saṃsargayuktaṃ na vimuñcati dhruvaṃ
vikṣepaśaktiḥ kṣapayatyajasram . 117 .

Anvaya

अभावनाabhāvanā
Notion of impossibility (of the oneness of individual and Brahman)
विपरीत–भावना वाviparīta–bhāvanā vā
or an opposite notion (that the body–mind–complex is the Atman)
विप्रतिपत्तिःvipratipattiḥ
a different notion
सम्भावनाsambhāvanā
a doubtful understanding
अस्याः संसर्गयुक्तंasyāḥ saṃsargayuktaṃ
to a person connected with this (veiling power)
न विमुञ्चतिna vimuñcati
does not leave
ध्रुवंdhruvaṃ
surely
विक्षेप–शक्तिःvikṣepa–śaktiḥ
the power of projection
क्षपयति अजस्रम्kṣapayati ajasram
always pulls down a person

Translation

The notion of impossibility (of the oneness of individual and Brahman), an opposite notion or a different notion of doubtful understanding – these three do not leave a person who is under the influence of the veiling power. Surely the power of projection always pulls down a person from truth (Jagadguru).
