Shloka

सकलनिगमचूडास्वान्तसिद्धान्तगुह्यं
परमिदमतिगुह्यं दर्शितं ते मयाद्य ।
अपगतकलिदोषः कामनिर्मुक्तबुद्धि -
स्तदतुलमसकृत्त्वं भावयेदं मुमुक्षुः ॥ ५७६ ॥

sakalanigamacūḍāsvāntasiddhāntaguhyaṃ
paramidamatiguhyaṃ darśitaṃ te mayādya ;
apagatakalidoṣaḥ kāmanirmuktabuddhi -
stadatulamasakṛttvaṃ bhāvayedaṃ mumukṣuḥ . 576 .

Anvaya

न निरोधःna nirodhaḥ
There is no resolution
न च उत्पत्तिःna ca utpattiḥ
and no creation
न बद्धःna baddhaḥ
none who is bound
न च साधकःna ca sādhakaḥ
and none who is the seeker
न मुमुक्षुःna mumukṣuḥ
none who is aspirant for liberation
न वै मुक्तःna vai muktaḥ
and none who is liberated
इति एषाiti eṣā
thus stands
परम–अर्थताparama–arthatā
the absolute reality

Translation

This Supreme highly guarded wisdom, which is the essence of the Upanishads, has been shown to you by me now. You, desirous of liberation, keep this unparalleled knowledge in mind at all times, eschewing the frailties of Kali–yuga and keeping away all desires.

Annotation

The expression ‘nigama–cūḍā’ means ‘the crest of Vedas’, which means the Upanishads. svāntam means the ‘mind’. Thus the whole expression means ‘the mind of the upanishads’.
